American Society Of Plastic Surgeons Performs Over 5 Million Procedures In 2007.
A report recently released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons has shown that over 5 million reconstructive procedures were performed by cosmetic surgeons in the United States in 2007. With procedures performed ranging from birth defects, to the repairing of dog bite wounds, through to more regular procedures such as breast enlargement surgery and facelifts.
On average, members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) performed more than 13,600 reconstructive procedures every day in the United States.
